Thomas Mulcair, The Leader of New Democratic Party Canada, Demands Indian Government to probe into 1984 pogroms:

The guilty must be brought to justice

(New York, USA) Voices For Freedom (VFF) applauds and appreciates Thomas Mulcair, Leader, New Democratic Party Canada, for his support and solidarity towards invasion and massacre of 1984 that targeted Sikhs in India.

On 29th Anniversary of the tragic pogroms of 1984, Thomas a humanitarian and a principled fighter, demands an explanation from the Indian Government for their actions.  Thomas on behalf of New Democratic Party of Canada (NDP) says, “We call for justice for the survivors and an explanation for who and how this community (Sikhs) were targeted by the organized mobs”.

Expressing his concerns over the delay in justice he adds, “The victims and survivors of 1984 have waited too long for recognition of their plight and frustration. Rehabilitation and support for the broken families, especially the widows, must be prioritized.”

Calling for Justice and holding Congress accountable for delayed justice, he adds, “The actions of the police and allegations regarding the role of Congress members and the use of state resources must be examined. The truth must be brought to light and those guilty must be brought to justice.”

Living up to its motto of being the voice of the voiceless, Voices For Freedom (VFF), contacted the Foreign Affairs Head of Canada and has also approached United States State Department to end this impunity and to achieve justice.
